AMIR hosted a quarterly CEO roundtable meeting to discuss further development of the Association

On 04th September 2024, AMIR hosted a Roundtable meeting that convened all CEOs and MDs of Microfinance institutions in Rwanda.

With the aim of building a strong microfinance sector in the country AMIR along with all MFIs meet to discuss the achievement by the Association and the projections in the development of the sector on a quarterly basis.

During his opening remarks at this meeting hosted at Park Inn hotel in Kiyovu – Kigali city, AMIR’s Chairperson Mr. GATERA N. Damien appreciated the contribution of each institution for the wellbeing of the Association and the sector in general as this is shown by the tremendous development and stability of the Rwanda in the finance sector.

Mr. KWIKIRIZA Jackson, who is the Executive Director of AMIR, has shared , during his presentation, the interesting updates of the institution and commended the effort by every CEO and MD that lead the association to be more stronger than before.

This meeting is among other meetings between AMIR and it’s members that help to reshape the association and develop members in order to leverage the aim and increase the trust in the citizens of working with financial institutions. Among other points, participants were presented new projects that are being run by the association that will help youth and young women in agriculture , tourism and hospitality to have access to finance.
