AMIR Concludes Training for SACCOs and MFIs on Tailored Financial Products to Empower MSMEs

Today, AMIR successfully concluded a series of trainings for staff and board members from various Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), focusing on three of its customized financial products: Tinyuka Wigire Munyarwandakazi, Ingamba, and Tekana.

The closing session which took place in Musanze District, aimed to provide these financial institutions with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively deliver these products to their target audiences.

Over 80 participants, representing 5 MFIs and 23 SACCOs, were trained on the functionality and application of these three products. The goal of the training was to ensure that the staff and board members fully understand the products, enabling them to provide these services to the right individuals and business.

With this knowledge, the trained participants are now equipped to support the growth of MSMEs in the marketplace by offering financial products that are not only accessible but also impactful. The goal is to ensure that these financial products reach youth-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in key sectors like agriculture, tourism, and hospitality, giving them the resources they need to thrive.

The conclusion of the training was met with positive feedback from participants.

Additionally, participants committed to supporting the acceleration of Kataza Program, a key initiative under AMIR’s broader mission. Kataza focuses on empowering youth-led businesses in agriculture, tourism, and hospitality through a combination of financing, capacity building, and digital inclusion.

With the conclusion of this training, AMIR continues its mission to promote financial inclusion and economic growth, ensuring that youth-owned MSMEs have the support and resources they need to succeed.
