Today at the Kigali Serena Hotel, AMIR was represented at a pivotal workshop focused on empowering youth entrepreneurs in the leather industry. The event, organized by I&M Bank; a key partner in the Kataza Program, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders including youth entrepreneurs, financial institutions, and government representatives.
During the workshop, Gumisiriza Emmanuel, Senior Program Manager of AMIR, delivered an empowering message to the youth entrepreneurs in attendance. He assured them that Microfinance Institutions (MFIs & SACCOs) are ready to offer their support in advancing MSMEs, which are essential for driving economic growth and job creation.
Gumisiriza also emphasized the role of financial inclusion in boosting youth entrepreneurship and strengthening the leather industry as a key sector for Rwanda’s economic development.
The workshop was attended by a wide range of esteemed organizations, including a representative from MINECOFIN who was the guest of honor, as well as representatives from BRD AMIR, Mastercard Foundation, PSF, and the Kigali Leather Cluster.
