Note: The Office should have grounding and Lighting protection where needed.
N.B: All expenses related to the sites visits should be entirely covered by the bidder who is conducting the visits.
Integrated Cabling Requirements
Data /power system
All electrical sockets must be of ground E type or F-type. A data and electrical cable trucking system must be installed with power, data (RJ45). An estimate of the amount of electrical and data (STP/UTP cat6) cabling needed must be done after the bidders have visited and submitted in their site visit report.
Functional and description of components and Bidder should provide detailed pricing for each
- RJ 45 terminal connector
- Transition point for indirect cabling i.e. ceiling or floor.
- Main distribution Rack/frame
- STP Cable Schneidel
- Underground PVC Trucking
- complete Data Socket
- Patch Cords
- Circuit Breakers
- Lightning Protection
- Angel Plat Legrand
Data cabling convention
A. Terminal connectors/ information outlets (IO)
All station outlets shall be modular in design and contain one (1) wired 8 pin/8 conductor outlets (RJ-45)
To avoid installation errors, the wire organiser of the snap-in connector must be identified by the same standard colour coding as the wires. All Category 6 RJ45 connectors shall be fully compliant with the ISO/IEC 11801/8877:2002 standard.
The presentation of the outlet shall provide for labelling and identification. A transparent window shall protect the labelling tag.
- Horizontal Cabling/ Distribution Cable
The horizontal 4 pair cable shall be Category 6 UTP/STP cables to meet the quality and performance criteria necessary to ensure correct operation of the installation in future and compliance with the warranty.
The installation design and routing of all cables shall take account of the manufacturer limits for the continued performance of the cables and the compliance with the warranty.
All wiring is to be installed on the wall where practical. Where surface-mount is required, all wire must be in conduit or surface raceway. All surface mount products must be industrial grade and of a professional appearance.
- Cabinet
The metal cabinets can be mounted by means of the standard cage nuts. The front door consists of a metal framework with hinges and a central security glass.
The side panels and the panel in the back have to be equipped with a hinge on the left or the right in order to facilitate the access to the equipment.
D. A 24 Port modular patch panels (RJ45)
Patch panels must have 12″ equipment practice dimensions to permit mounting in standard cabinets, racks or bays. The vendor shall make their proposals for this tender using 24 ports Snap-in format (Modular) patch panels equipped with a cable management mechanism that provides strain relief, earthling and grounding features. The presentation of the Patch Panel shall provide for labelling using a printed numbering system.
- Patch-cords
To achieve a Class E Channel performance all Patch Cords will be Category 6 rated. The Category 6 cords must be fitted with Category 6 RJ45 plugs, booted at each connector. The characteristic impedance of the pairs must be identical to that of the horizontal cables. The Patch Cords shall have a guaranteed performance level of greater than 750 insertions without degradation to the performance level of the solution.
F. Acceptance of installation
The installation, configuration, and successful system operation will be validated on site before the client can accept the system.
Visual inspection will be performed to ensure that the installation done is in conformity with the specifications and professional standards.
