Learning Exchange between AMIR members and members of Saving and Credit Cooperative Union League of Tanzania (SCCULT LTD)

The Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR) hosted a team of 8 people including staff members, BoD, and Supervisory committee members of Tanesco SACCOs which is a member of Saving and Credit Cooperative Union of Tanzania (SCCULT Ltd).

The specific objective of the learning visit was to share information and experience with different practitioners and players in Rwanda’s Microfinance sector in the area below:

  • Product development
  • Inclusivity, and
  • Technology 

During their stay in Rwanda, Tanesco SACCOs delegation was received at AMIR Offices and   visited also three selected MFIs and one Umurenge SACCO,  from 14th to 15th Sept 2022 :  

  • SACCO Gisozi  
  • Vision Fund Rwanda 
  • Goshen  Finance
  • Umwalimu SACCO

Tanesco SACCOs’ delegation much appreciated the experiences shared and specific aspects were subject to further learning visits. Those are:

  • Digital services offered by visited MFIs,
  • Internet Banking services, and 
  • Interesting Services that are in the Pipeline.

AMIR is committed to becoming a hub for regional and international learning exchange
